The Rickenbacker is awesome! Welcome back, haven't seen you in a while.
Here it is with the rest of my bass collection. I owned and played one bass for 35 years, the Ric. It's been so great for recording to be able to get the bass tone I want. Yeah. I know they’re all upside down and backwards—about 100 people have told me that over the years. It never fails to fall flat.
I’ve finally had some time on it. What a wonderful bass. It’s got the Jazz Bass sound I’ve always heard in my head. Very bassy but still raspy and full, the notes well defined. The craftsmanship is impressive, and of course, I’m in love with the finish.
I’ve never even touched a 5 string until now, so it’ll take me a while to get used to the wide neck—a fun learning experience.

Oh, man! That is killer! That color looks great, especially with the Maple fretboard! Jazz basses rule!
And I am also in love with that Rick! What do you run that through?
You and I seem to have very similar taste in basses!
