Default Ever Heard of Gorgomyte? You need to!

So my friend filled me in on this stuff and I wanted to give it a shot. This cleans your fretboard and frets and leaves a clean polished look. I'm really amazed at how well it works. Frets even play smoother now. I posted a video on youtube of my experience and I definitely recommend this for everyone to try.

Ben told me about this stuff and like you he said it works terrific but I havent tried it yet. I use lemon oil for my fretboards which is essentially the same thing but its liquid obviously.
What neck was that? It sure was dirty! Haha!

A lot of that black stuff is the nickel from your strings coupled with fret material that just gets ground down into the wood grain over time so it’s fairly normal for rosewood and ebony boards to be like that becuae maple has a clear finish on the wood which protects against that, although older maple necks can and will soak things up the as well if the finish is worn through and youre into the wood.

    Great post thanks for sharing.

Ps how is the little one doing?

Yeah I love that stuff, its the tits. I dressed the frets on my gunslinger a week or so back, used 1000 grit sandpaper, and then gorgomyte to polish. Came out better than high grit sand paper. Its just great.

I use it on my frets, but I don't use it on my rosewood fretboards (as they claim you can). I did that once, and I felt like it created a wet effect to the board that didn't seem to clear up very quickly. So I use gorgomyte on the frets only and fret doctor on my rosewood boards.
