I think I learned speed picking by just playing the beginning to the solo from "Play with Me" (Extreme - Nuno) over and over and over again. It's so easy and it sounds like you know what you're doing!
IDK if its just me (probably is) but I can't follow left handed player tutorials at all even though I'm a lefty. Maybe it's because most people I've learned from were right handed and its natural to follow that way. Is anyone else like that?
That's one of the most difficult solos I have committed to memory, grew up idolizing nuno
Ha! You grew up idolizing him, and I hadn't heard of him until last November when I saw him during the Generation Axe tour!

It's funny you guys say that (over a year ago, haha). I had never heard of that pick until just a few days ago when I just happened to see this YouTube video that came up in my recommended videos list:
This is all very interesting and new to me because I have always tried to pluck the strings with the pick completely flat. I remember, early in my playing days, I figured out that angling the pick made playing easier, but it dulled the note. The note was tremendously less crisp and pronounced when angling the pick. So, I just figured it angling the pick was bad form and no "real" guitarists do it, and I never gave it another thought. Now, maybe 20 years later, I am learning that I was completely wrong!
