This thread in particular went off the rails of the crazy train a while ago.
Perhaps a disclaimer should be issued next time around...
Actually it would just be way easier if you simply +1 the nom ahead of you and then nom your pick, and move on, and the next guy can do the same.... Can't get much simpler really.

I think it just drags on far too long, people lose interest and after a few months....
I was me, but you weren't you. You were sticking to me like
a scab...so I peeled you away, bled for days

Good points Cory and that may be the case with people losing interest. I'm personally going to make a valiant effort to keep my inbetween and off topic banter to a minimum because it fucks with the flow of the thread and makes it a bitch to sort through just to get to the actual topic at hand. I'm guilty of that very much so.
Not a lot of guys post here and the traffic is very slow at times, and I just like talking guitars in general as most do, and besides we gotta have something cool to break up the monotony of silence.
I think the GOTM is a really fun thing to do even though I've never had any of my personal guitars up for the running, that doesn't matter the least bit to me, I do really enjoy sharing other's excitement for their new guitars, and it makes me happy when someone is so thrilled about their new purchase, and I try to join in and share that with them.

I'm already adding more text to this mayhem, so I'll leave it at that. From here on, I'll make a personal effort to keep these flowing like they should by simply nominating or +1 and move on.
My apologies to Chris, this job is already hard enough for him sometimes, and I'm sure he is pulling his hair out most times, while sorting through all of this shit.

I think the idea behind leaving it open for a season was that we don't generally have 50-100 NGDs a month like big places such as SSO, or TGP. Lets close this one up. I'll try to tally up the winner tonight.

Also, lets do a rules sticky.

Doesn't it +2'd it ? (yeah, maybe a post-it with the rules would be great)

It does, but since that guitar was nominated and has a +1 means that it was already going to the final round. So instead of picking a guitar that is already in the finals can be considered a "waste".
