So their director responded and asked if I can send pics of the pick-ups.

I sent them over and let's see what he says.

I'd love to get an answer on this!

Hopefully that works out for you and you get an answer. I know a lot of times when you email companies with question regarding products made over 20plus years ago, you're likely to get the resident expert who wasn't even born when the shit was in production, so a lot of times, you won't even get a decent answer. Hopefully that's not the case here, but it happens more often than not.

Yeah I had to use translate on my phone to read it.

I truly love this pickup and I stand by what I said in regards to it being the best passive pickup I've ever played.

I haven't given mine a shot yet. What is the gist of what that datasheet is saying about it? Why is it so special?

looks like schaller's take on the Super Distortion (13kohms, ceramic magnet).

I've got a hot stuff at home (schaller's take on the X2N). A little too much and to dark for me.

My experience with the Schaller humbucker you find in 80's Kramers reminds me of the Super D as well.

Although the poles on that pickup are slug/screw like a PAF, instead of hex setscrews.
